Game On! (and weekly challenge #1)

Woo Hoo! It's August and the Mortal Man Tri is going strong!

Weekly Challenge #1 (this one is the edible variety):
Post a comment with your favorite recovery beverage. You can only use items found in your house or that you typically have in your house.

    Ok,I'll get it started with our standard smoothie recipe. A tall glass of this after a tough multi-hour workout really hits the spot, and you'll be ready to go for it again the next day.

    Blend together the following and pour into a tall glass:
    +Milk - a cup or so
    +yoghurt - about 1/2 cup (Greek is best)
    +protein powder - 1 scoop
    +frozen banana (or fresh - both are fine)
    +frozen fruit (blue berries,strawberries, peaches...whatever you have)
    +peanutbutter - a spoonful

  3. I'm addicted to this protein drink!
    It's similar to the previous recipe:

    1 cup skim milk
    1 scoop whey protein powder
    1 small fresh banana
    1 Tbsp flax seed meal
    1 Tbsp peanut butter
    3-6 ice cubes
    Blend ingredients together...yummy!!
