Tracker Instructions

***UPDATE: If you don't see your name on the bottom tabs...it's because we've got a great turnout and the list of folks exceeds the visible space! Yay! At the bottom right is a couple of left and right arrows, plus a little box with lines. If you try hard enough, you can imagine this box with lines as a box with all the tabs listed like a to-do list. If you click on the box, it'll open up a menu with the tabs listed vertically. This might help you find your name and tab faster.***

The spreadsheet is a shared Google Document. Once you have signed up, I'll send you the password that will let you edit it. Please try to go in before the challenge starts and make sure you're okay. It's very similar to Excel, if you have worked with that spreadsheet program.

You will have a tab at the bottom with your name. If you would like a nickname to appear - we can do that.

To enter your workout, look at the bottom of the spreadsheet window - you should see Roll-Up and then a bunch of tabs with names. Click on your name. You'll see your name up at the top along with some yellow boxes. Under the appropriate column, you'll enter the number of yards, miles, or sessions that you completed. Click on a box and enter your workout. For example, if it's Wed 03 Aug, I would click the appropriate column for my workout in the row labeled W 3 and enter 2.5 under Bike Miles.

That will add to your totals - you can see them on your tab. You only have to enter info in the daily columns. the spreadsheet will calculate the totals and the percents.

If you want to see how everyone is doing, Click on the Roll-Up tab (down near the bottom left). You'll see everyone's summary percent complete. The "Average Joe" is the average of all competitors.

I'll be adding some charts to help you see how you are doing.

If this doesn't make sense, send a note or post a comment.
